🌿 Dracula simia Luer - The Orchid Monkey
Dracula simia , also known as The Monkey Orchid , is one of the most fascinating epiphytic orchids. With its short, sturdy creeping stems, it reaches a height of 30 to 40 centimeters . Its leaves, arranged alternately, are broadly oval and have a characteristic lance-like shape when viewed from above. Roots grow from the nodes of the stems. The flowers, arranged in loose clusters, emerge from the leaf axils. Their funnel shape and yellow color, often speckled with purple-red, add to their mystery.
